    MGN PUBLIC SCHOOL, ADARSH NAGAR, JALANDHAR CITY CELEBRATED its 41st Annual Academic & Cultural function with great pomp and show where the students were awarded and honoured for their achievements in academics, sports and other activities making their teachers and parents proud of the moment. Dr Girish Bali (IRS) Joint Director, Enforcement Directorate  graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was given a warm welcome by S. Gurinder Singh Narula Ji Chairman, S. Sohan Singh Saini Ji Vice – Chairman, S. Jarnail Singh Pasricha Ji Secretary MGN Edu. Trust, Trustees MGN Edu. Trust - Mr Gurpreet Singh, Mrs Jasneet Kaur, S. Mukhtar Singh Dahaya, Mr R.S Mehta,Manager School Managing Committee S. Ramnik Singh Kalra, Manager MGN Aided Schools S. Gurmohan Singh , Mrs Gunmeet Kaur Principal MGN Public School,Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar, Vice Principal Mr. K S Randhawa and members of SMC.
    The Chief Guest was accompanied by all honoured members on the beats of school band escorted by the Head Girl Tamanna and Head Boy  Samarjit Singh of School followed by the NCC Cadets.
    The Holy Lamp was lightened by the worthy Chief Guest along with the dignitaries.
    To begin with and gain Lord’s blessings ‘School Shabad’- ‘Dehi Shiva Var Mohe Eh…..’was beautifully chanted by students and its vibes spread in each heart with great devotion. Head Boy and Head Girl extended  a floral welcome to the honourable guest followed by welcome speech delivered by Head Girl.
    Mrs Gunmeet Kaur , Principal of the school addressed the gathering by presenting the school annual report , tracing the progress, major events and achievements of the school during the session.  
    A Kaleidoscopic energy packed cultural programme MANTHAN was presented.
    A heart stealing butterfly dance ‘UDAAN’ was presented by students of KG Wing .A Planetary Dance by the students took the spectators to the world of solar system.Other attractions of the day included Classical Dance, Arabian Dance & Hindi and English Contemporary Dances.
    Sufi song added serenity to the atmosphere.
    Play MANTHAN was a great attraction which inspired everybody to reflect, to introspect and to churn out the right ways to live life giving up selfishness.
     
     
    Dr Girish Bali (IRS) Joint Director, Enforcement Directorate  gave away prizes to all Prize Winners for their proficiency in various fields and sports activities. Chief Guest in his speech congratulated all the Prize Winners, their teachers and parents. He congratulated students and blessed them for a bright and flourishing future. He appreciated the function saying that the importance of inculcating values in the children has been beautifully brought out through the function. He urged parents to inculcate the values of humility and forgiveness in their children.
     
    Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Head Boy.
    Last but not the least in eye catching Grand Finale, Fusion of Bhangra , Giddha, Indian Classical and Western was presented by students. Everyone was mesmerized tapping their feet and dancing on the tunes of music.
     The function concluded with National Anthem .
    Students looked graceful and attractive in their beautiful and colourful attires.
    FRIENDLY MATCH OF CRICKET
    A friendly match of cricket was organized in the lush green grounds of Mgn Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City. All the three branches of the MGN family – Adarsh Nagar,Urban Estate and Kapurthala participated and showed their excellent performance. Captain of the team Super King was Dr. D.P Singh while Captain of the Knight Rider Team was Mr Jatinder Singh.It was 20-20 overs match.
    The winning team was MGN Super King which scored 198 runs and gave a tough match to its competitor team MGN Knight Rider which scored 180 runs. Highest score from Opponent team was 60 runs and Not Out by Mr Sanjeev. Mr Kundra from MGN. Super Knight scored 97 runs and was Not Out . He was declared as Man of the Match.
    Dr D.P Singh from Super King took 4 wickets while Mr Gurpreet Singh and Mr Bakshi from Knight Rider took 3 wickets each.
    Chief Guest of the event was S.Jarnail Singh Pasricha ji who gave prizes to the Winning team, Man of the Match and other achievers.
    Principal of the host School, Mrs Gunmeet Kaur  (Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City) enjoyed the match and she congratulated the winning team, Man of the Match and other achievers.
     
    BIDS ADIEU TO Director Miss Satwant Gakhal
    Mgn Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City organized a farewell in honor  of Miss Satwant Gakhal ,Director M.G.N Public Schools honoring her for  42 years of radiant and luminous services for the institution joining as a teacher in 1975 and later worked at various designations serving as House Incharge, Examination Incharge and HOD .She worked as Vice Principal of the school from 29 May 2006 to 7 Nov 2007 and continued as officiating Principal till April 2008 further taking up as the Principal from 1 May 2008 to 31 March 2013. After retirement she served MGN Schools as Director till date.

    The function started with School shabad seeking blessings from The Almighty followed by a floral welcome extended to Miss Satwant Gakhal by Members of the managing committee joined by Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur and Vice-Principal Mr K.S Randhawa. A heart touching PPT helped  to peep into her journey of more than 4 decades. Chairman Mr G.S Narula ,Secretary MR JARNAIL SINGH PASRICHA, MRS P. Monga, Principal MGN Public School Kapurthala, Mr Jatinder Singh Principal MGN Public School UE & Mrs Brinder Badwal Ex Principal MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar shared their feelings for her, wishing her the best in her life ahead.

    Mam MISS Satwant Gakhal went down her memory lane sharing her experiences, expressing her gratitude to the management for providing her immense opportunities and having faith in her decisions for the school. Gakhal family presented a Trophy to MGN PS as a token of love and remembrance.

     
    Capacity Building Workshop On Educators Development Programme
    A Capacity Building Workshop was conducted in Mgn Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar by Ratna Sagar Publications under the expert guidance of Mr Surya Narayan Bahadur and his team with the aim of encouraging results and relationships in classrooms and leading all stake holders to desired results.
    The resource person introduced the concept of 16:8:4:2 categorizing 16 types of Teachers, 8 types of Students, 4 types of Parents and 2 types of office workers.
    The Importance of the concept of UNLEARN, LEARN AND RE-LEARN was discussed. The need to be a life long student and to never let the curiosity inside you to die was emphasized . The Teachers were introduced to various tests to access the children and for self assessment. Fun games were there to reflect the psychology of mind. It was a Valuable workshop involving fun and education.
    Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur highlighted the efforts of an educationist to built and develop the potential of each individual and polish the personality of every child in upbringing the best of his Talent to the limelight.
     
    TEACHER’S DAY

    Teacher’s day was celebrated in MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar. The function started with the floral welcome of Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur and Vice Principal Mr K.S Randhawa along with Primary Wing Incharge Mrs Sushma Prehar  and Incharge Rainbow Wing Miss Deepti Kaushal. The new staff members of MGN family introduced themselves. The staff got an opportunity to know more about The Principal and Vice Principal during an interactive session ‘Rubroo’.

    Best wishes were conveyed by Secretary Mr J. S Pasricha, Mr Ramneek Singh Kalra(Manager) and Director Miss Satwant Gakhal .

    Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur congratulated and wished the staff for Teacher’s Day.Teachers day is celebrated on the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s (Ex President of India). He was a philosopher and statesman. He was in teaching before entering into politics.

    Teaching profession has a great impact on the growth, development and well being of the students & Nation. We must restore respect for the teachers in our society. Best teachers are awarded on this day.

     
     71ST INDEPENDENCE DAY OF INDIA
     
    Mgn Public School, Adarsh Nagar,Jalandhar City Celebrated 71st Independence Day Of India with great zeal, spirit and enthusiam befitting the occasion. Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur unfurled the Tricolour National Flag in school ground during Morning assembly.  All in Unison Sang National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. On this occasion Vice Principal Mr K.S Randhawa,Primary Wing Incharge Mrs Sushma Prehar along with Coordinators of Secondary and Sr Secondary Wing were also present. The NCC scouts band played the tune, march past and National Flag was given a salute by everybody present in the ground. Majority of children and teachers were dressed in tricolor. Students had also put up tricolor labels and wrist bands.
     
    Thereafter Cultural Program Celebration started with devotional  prayers and songs by Tiny Tots of Rainbow Wing depicting secularism in India which overcame communalism and slavery from Britishers. It is Indian Unity and Diversity which led to oneness of the Nation. Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram Slogan was there in the air followed by portrayal of the freedom fighters and their sacrifices in the freedom struggle of the country. Motivational songs were sung by Rainbow Wing and Primary Wing students.
    Primary wing students through their enactment depicted’Freedom From Electronic Gadgets’. We should use them as our friends and need not be their slaves as these tools are taking us away from our nation’s beauty. Students thrilled on Patrotic song ‘Desh mera Rangeela Re……..’.
     
    The highlight of the program was the enactment on Bharat Hamko Jaan Se Pyara hai by Secondary Wing. It urged today’s generation to value the freedom we have secured after the sacrifices of our numerous soldiers and leaders .Bhangra was also an attraction of the day. Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur, congratulated everyone on this auspicious day and wished each one to secure this hard earned country’s Independence.
     
    The colourful presentation received much deserved applause from the audience.
     
    CELEBRATING INDEPENDENCE WEEK ON THE THEME INDEPENDENCE FROM POLLUTION.
     
    Interact club of the MGN Public School , Adarsh Nagar is celebrating ‘Independence from Pollution’. The teachers and the students have taken an initiative to pool in their vehicles to reduce the number of vehicles in the school campus. Many students have pledged to use bicycles for short distances.
     
    Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur and Vice Principal Mr K.S Randhawa encouraged the volunteersby affixing lapels of National Flags and encouraged the club for the efforts for Independence from Pollution.
     
    ORGANISED TIME MANAGEMENT & GOAL SETTING WORKSHOP
     
    Youth need to be guided and trained to follow right path in life which leads to their bright future. Keeping this in mind, two days workshop was conducted in the school for the students of Class VI by the student counselor Mrs. Sangeeta . The workshop consisted of imbibing the skill of time table making for effective time management and deciding ‘SMART’ goals for themselves. Use of audio-visual aids, fun filled games, group and individual activities and presentations . The workshop provided a learning ground for the students. 
     
    CONCLUDING DAY  OF TWO DAYS  WORKSHOP OF CBSE ON ‘Capacity Building Programme in Mathematics at MGN PUBLIC SCHOOL, ADARSH NAGAR, JALANDHAR CITY
    Date:15th July 2017.
    Two days CBSE workshop on ‘Capacity Building Programme in Mathematics for Class X’ was organized in M.G.N Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City on 14th July 2017 and 15th July 2017.During this interactive session, Resource Persons Mrs. Paramjit Kaur Principal K.V Fatehgarh Sahib and Mr. Vishal Kataria Headmaster, DPS Chandigarh who has presently moved to Ajman ,UAE to set up DPS institute there discussed upon numerous topics of class-X. They covered ‘ Theory of multiple intelligence and Gender Discrimination’, Marking scheme and pattern of papers of Class-X, Use of Technology and given activities.
    Teachers from different schools shared their view points upon teaching methods and being changed from traditional to modern challenges in class rooms.
     Mrs Gunmeet Kaur(Principal) addressed the gathering . She thanked resource persons for overcoming various doubts that teachers were having in their mind  and modern techniques to be introduced in their teaching methods.
     
     MGN PUBLIC SCHOOL, ADARSH NAGAR, JALANDHAR CITY HOSTS TWO DAYS MATHEMATICS WORKSHOP
    Date:14th July 2017. (DAY 1)
    Two days CBSE workshop on ‘Capacity Building Programme in Mathematics for Class X’ was organized in M.G.N Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City. The workshop started with Shabad Gayan. Principal  Mrs Gunmeet Kaur and Vice Principal Mr K.S Randhawa gave floral welcome to the Resource Persons Mrs. Paramjit Kaur Principal K.V Fatehgarh Sahib and Mr. Vishal Kataria Headmaster & H.O.D. Maths, DPS, AJMAN (UAE).
    The workshop was attended by more than 40 teachers from various schools of North Region. During this session on the first day of workshop various challenging areas of Mathematics were discussed by the resource persons with active participation by the teachers.

    MGN PUBLIC SCHOOLS STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY TURNED BACK TO JALANDHAR AFTER EUROPE TRIP
    12TH JULY 2017
    29 Students and 03 staff members of Montgomery Guru Nanak Public School Jalandhar and Kapurthala, Punjab has successfully turned back to their home town after nine days  Educational Tour to Europe from 4th  July 2017 to 12th July 2017. Mr K.S Randhawa Vice Principal and Mr.Lakhwinder Singh Co-ordinator from MGN Public School,Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar and Mrs Prabhdeep  Monga (Principal) from M.G.N Public School Kapurthala accompanied students.
    They visited Switzerland, Germany,Netherland,Belgium and France.It was really an informative, enjoyable and memorable experience visiting Europe. Students were given floral welcome and they shared their pleasant memories with S.Jarnail Singh Pasricha ji(Secretary),Ms.Satwant Gakhal (Director) and Mrs Gunmeet Kaur (Principal).

     
    Nine days Educational Tour to Europe
    29 students & 03 Staff members of Montgomery Guru Nanak Public School Jalandhar and Kapurthala, Punjab left today for Nine days Educational Tour to Europe. There are 17 students of MGN Jalandhar along with Vice Principal Mr. K S Randhawa and Co-ordinator Mr. Lakhvinder Singh and 12 students from MGN Kapurthala along with their Principal Mrs Prabhdeep Monga. Team will be travelling to Switzerland, Germany, Netherland, Belgium and France on an Educational tour from 04th July 2017 till 12th July 2017. They will returning back to India on 13th July 2017.   The tour is aimed to enhance the knowledge of the students about various European nations and also comparative study of global culture.
    The team proceeded for International tour after ardas and seeking formal blessing from  S. Jarnail Singh Pasricha- (Hony Secretary); Mr. R S Mehta (Trustee); Miss Satwant Gakhal, (Director) and Mrs Gunmeet Kaur (Principal),MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar,Jalandhar.

    VACATION SPECIAL - HEALTHY LIVING
     
    Healthy Eating and Physical Exercise are the most important ingredients for child’s health.
    Vacation time is a healthy break from annual routine. It is the most important time to reflect and work upon the areas which are most of the time neglected in hectic daily routine. As parents we need to realize that regular physical exercise is lifetime necessity and it is initial growing years of child it is utmost important.
    Unfortunately due to new upcoming gadgets which keep our kids intact in their air conditioned rooms are not at all active physically both by choice and lack of opportunity.
    Most of the kids use their Vacation time watching television, listening music and playing video games. With their parents working long hours, there is hardly any chance for them to get a push to live healthy lifestyle.
    It is need of hour to realise that physical exercise is basic requirement to healthy lifestyle gust with little alteration in our life style, we can motivate our children to move out in open and do workout. Parents who work out regularly and stay fit by adopting healthy eating habits are much more likely to pass their habits on to their kids.
    Parents need to make their child’s physically fit their priority.Kids need to move their bodies to grow up strong, build bones and muscles. It is important to do workout for healthy heart, lungs and to  burn calories. Last but not the least physical activity develope self esteem, self- confidence and competitiveness.
    Physical workout need not to be expensive affair like joining gyms, or playing professional games. Doing yoga, Bicycling in park, walking to market to market to purchase daily grocery, taking care of your garden by yourself and dusting and cleaning the house and vehicles can be beneficial for family members of all age.
    Playing with pets not only provides recreation but also gushes happiness hormones which increase your fitness index.
    It is right time to set priorities and spend quality time with your kids and contribute positively in developing healthy habits.

    Interact Club “Summer Camp’’
    Interact Club of M.G.N Public School , Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar organised a “Summer Camp’’ for the children under the aegis of Principal Mrs.Gunmeet Kaur and VicePrincipal Mr.K.S Randhawa. Twenty children of School peons, Bus drivers, Conductors, gatemen etc. attended the camp with full zeal and enthusiasm.
    Interacters conducted dance, music, Painting & craft classes for the children.
    Classes were also conducted on Personal hygiene, basic etiquettes, Spoken English etc.
    Children were made aware, how to save mother earth by saving water, planting trees and keeping surroundings clean.
    A prize distribution function was organized on the closing day. Children recited poems, presented dances. Parents of the children were also invited. Worthy Principal and VicePrincipal applauded the efforts of children, encouraged them by distributing Prizes.
     
    VISIT TO WONDERLAND
    10th June 2017
    Students of MGN Public School,  Adarsh Nagar, had a gala time in the Water Park of Wonderland. It was treat for the students and best remedy to beat the heat of June month. Students enjoyed the Fun rides and spent quality time with their friends and teachers in splash pools. Informal bonding with teammates of sports team helped in building team spirit.
     
    Sports Fitness Camp 
     
    To instill amongst the students a spirit of Co- operation, Competition and companionship, a Fitness camp has been organised in MGNPS, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar, from 3rd June to 10th June.
     
    During the Camp days, the MONTGOMERIANS experienced world class ground and Sports field. Mr. Vijay Kumar (DSO), showed personal interest in upgromming the budding players and  played a crucial role in getting permission for the usage of such wonderful places. They Interacted with experts and practiced various games like handball, Basketball, Kho –Kho, Chess etc. Under the supervision of well qualified, professional coaches.
     
    The  MONTGOMERIANS have enthusiastically participated in  Sports Recreation activities at Sports College, Bulton Park and Guru Gobind Singh Stadium as per scheduled planner. To Motivate the student to lead a healthy & Active life. Prominent sports personalities S.Kulwinder Singh Khaira( SP and Commandant (Kapurthala) ,Mr.Dhillon (chief India coach) S. Parminder Singh (Distt.Atheletic Coach ) Addressed the student. Mr.Love Kumar (Distt.Coach) Shared Valuable information about gymnastics with the students the team Fitness club of Montgomerians presented him a T-Shirt & Mementos as a token of gratitude.

    Dharamshala is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.     Inter House Group Dance Competition

    MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City organised Inter- House group dance competition for classes VI-VIII. Such competitions enhance team spirit and Co-operation among the students.
    Result of the Competition is as follows:-
    1st Position   Sahibzada Zorawar Singh House (Lavani – Marathi Dance)
    2nd Position Sahibzada Fateh Singh House (Mixed Dance forms of different states)
    3rd Position   Sahibzada Ajit Singh House (Dandiya – Rajasthani Dance)
    4th Position   Sahibzada Jujhar Singh House(Punjabi Dance Bhangra)
    Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur presented prizes to the Winning Teams and encouraged students to participate more in such competitions to give outlet to their talent.
    This talent of students was also appreciated by Vice- Principal Mr K S Randhawa, Primary Wing I/c Mrs Sushma Prehar, Rainbow Wing I/c Ms. Deepti Kaushal  and Co-Ordinators from Sr. Sec. And Secondary Wing. 

    Bagged Third Prize In Inter School Shabad Gayan

     

     
    11th May, 2017 Jalandhar.
     

    Team of M.G.N Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City participated in 28th All India Inter School Shabad Gayan Competition held at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Model Town, Jalandhar. Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur, guided and encouraged students for such participations. Out of 14 Teams those participated, M.G.N Public School bagged Third Prize.

     

     

     

     

    Team of M.G.N School sang ‘Partaal’ in Raag Saarang. It was melodiously sung and audience present over there really enjoyed and appreciated students performance.
     
    Team of Winning Students Arshdeep Kaur, Shriya, Ekam, Tabasum, Ravleen Kaur and Pukhraj Singh were congratulated for their success by Mrs Gunmeet Kaur(Principal) and Mr K.S.Randhawa(Vice Principal).

    MARVELLOUS ACHIEVEMENTS IN ‘IOS’AND ‘NSO’

    5th May, 2017
     Students showed marvellous results in International Science Olympiad and National Science Olympiad.
     In International Science Olympiad they achieved 6 gold medals, 6 silver and 6 Bronze medals. In National Science Olympiad they bagged 7 gold medals, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals.
    In Cognizance Scrap Book Competition, six students of school participated and Deepesh received Consolation Prize at Regional Level.
     
    Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur and Vice Principal Mr K S Randhawa congratulated students for their achievements and gave away prizes to them. She blessed and encouraged students to reach heights and participate more in such activities.

    RENDEZVOUS OF BRIGADIER IMS PARMAR WITH NATIONAL CADET CORPS

    National Cadet Corps (NCC) of MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City were supervised and counselled by Brigadier IMS Parmar (Group Commander of Jalandhar Area NCC) on 3rd May 2017. He was accompanied by Wg Commander M.S. Bhandari (Commanding Officer 1 PB Air SQN NCC) Col. Anil Thakur  (Deputy Group Commander ) Warrant officer Mr. Virender and Corporal Mr. Manish Kumar. NCC students exhibited their talent in front of officers in a beautiful manner.
    During his administrative visit to school, he appreciated talent, performance and dedication of NCC team of school. Students were inspired for pursuing their services towards their Nation. Students were motivated to join NDA or National Security Force. They met Mrs Gunmeet Kaur (Principal) and Mr K S  Randhawa (Vice Principal), appreciated the efforts of Mr Sanjay Kundra and Ms Amandeep Kaur of Physical Education Department  and appreciated MGN Public School as one of the known and recognizable institutes in Jalandhar City.

    HOSTLERS VISITED PLACES OF RELIGIOUS FERVOUR

    3rd May 2017

    Hostlers of M.G.N. Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City had an Excursion to religious places especially to Gurudwara’s at Goindwal Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi, TarnTaran and Khadur Sahib.

    Children had a great fun and above all collected lot of information regarding these Gurudwara’s. Students enjoyed listening to gurbani path, relished langar and took bath in holy water.

    Investiture Ceremony for the session 2017-2018 was held at MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar Jalandhar City.     Ceremony started with School Shabad to pray God to bestow upon us. Head Girl TAMANNA and Head Boy SAMARJIT SINGH were honoured by Chairman S. Gurinder Singh Narula Ji and he was escorted by Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur. She administered Oath to all the office bearers and they swore to perform their duties dedicatedly and jurisdiciously.
    Vice – Principal Mr. K.S. Randhawa  administered Oath to Deputy Head Boy Amitoj Singh and Deputy Head Girl Pragya.
    They were badged and honoured  by S. Jarnail Singh Pasricha Ji Secretary MGN Educational Trust escorted by Mr K.S. Randhawa Vice Principal.
    Previous Session Head Boy Manandeep Singh and Deputy Head Boy Saksham Verma Passed their responsibilities and duties  to Head Boy Samarjit Singh and previous Session Head Girl Samrit Kaur along with Deputy Head Girl Gursirat passed their duties and responsibilities to Head Girl Tamanna.
    House Captains of various houses were honoured with batches by Director MGN Public Schools Ms Satwant Gakhal,  escorted by Vice – Principal Mr. K.S. Randhawa.
    Sports Captains of various house were honoured with batches by Mrs Brinder Badwal escorted by Vice-Principal Mr K.S. Randhawa.

    For a success of any institute, it is team spirit what is the most demanding from each individual. Inspiring words of the chief guest, his experiences, guiding principles – Honesty, Modesty, Sincerity, Truthfulness etc which are required by an individual for his successful life can take each one of us to the height and fulfill our dreams ‘ Leaving away biasness and individuality and adopting team spirit and be a family’ should be each one’s motto.
    A motivational Skit added colours to the day’s function. Token of gratitude was given to chief guests. Presence of previous session Head Boy Manandeep Singh and Head Girl Samrit Kaur ; Parents of selected new Office Bearers along with teachers and students were supportive to encourage and bless newly appointed team. National Anthem was sung at the end of the function.

    Orientation Programme For Class XI
     
    18th April 2017 Jalandhar.

    M.G.N Public School Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar city organised Orientation Programme at the beginning of new session for Class-XI. Everyone seeked blessings of Almighty lord. Orientation sessions were taken by Vice–Principal Mr.K.S.Randhawa and student counsellor. Students were familiarised about the school and various streams-Medical, Non-medical and Commerce that they had opted. Brief guidelines regarding school rules and regulations, Examination details and Scholarships were highlighted.
    Students were advised to be disciplined and informed about Protocol to be followed in the school.
     

    Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur wished them Good luck and advised them to be sincere towards their studies and achieving goals in future endeavours.

    ‘Baisakhi Festival’
    12th April , 2017 Jalandhar


    On the occasion of Baisakhi Festival, M.G.N Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City Celebrated ‘Baisakhi festival’with great pomp and show. Highlighting imporatance of Baisakhi,Varoius Cultural Programmes were included-Bhangra, Poems ,Songs,Gidda ,Skit etc. Skit beautifully  depicted Jalliawala Bagh  Tragedy of 1919. Through speech light was thrown on the establishment of Khalsa Path by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699. Rainbow Wing Students also enjoyed a lot on this occasion. They tied yellow and red ribbons on their hands. In their tiffins also they had sweetened yellow rice and pakoras. They relished Jalebi and sweets distributed to them. Mrs Deepti Kaushal Incharge Rainbow Wing addressed students and congratulated students on Baisakhi eve.

She served institute for more than 37 years serving at various posts.  Mrs Gunmeet Kaur Principal welcomed S.Jarnail Singh Pasricha ji (Secretary),S.Gurpreet Singh (Trustee), S.R.S.Mehta(Trustee),Mr.Ramneek Singh Kalra(Manager School Managing Committee),Dr.Paramdeep Singh Walia,S.S.Dhingra and S.Jasbir Singh Johal (Members of School Managing Committee).
    Mrs Brinder Badwal and her better half S.Gurdiyal Singh were extended floral welcome by S.Jarnail Singh Pasricha Ji (Secretary),All members of trust along with members of School Managing Committee,Principal,Vice-Principal ,Staff Secretaries and Coordinators.
     Mrs Badwal along with her family members,Old friends and colleques  was extended floral welcome by Vice-Principal and Staff Secrataries.
    Mrs Brinder Badwal’s journey in the school was highlighted by Mrs Navjot through Skit depicting different facets. Songs were sung by Mrs Surjit Kaur and Mr.Kanwardeep Singh. Power Point Presentation was a sweet effort through which madam’s sweet memories and journey of school life was beautifully enacted. 
    Mrs Baljit Head of Social Science Department expressed her gratitude to madam for her inspiring and motivational words and providing pathway towards progress and prosperity.
    Inspiring words and support of madam were really thanked by staff members.
    Mr.K.S.Randhawa,Vice-Principal thanked madam Badwal who was always a mentor,guide and support to every individual in the institute and from core of his heart being indebted to her as a great pillar in Social Science Department.It is not farewell rather it is a tribute to the legend.

    Medical Director of Washington-An Old Montgomerian Visited M.G.N Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City after 26 years

    7th April 2017 Jalandhar.
    Jasdeep Miglani, Old Montgomerian today visited M.G.N Public School,Adarsh Nagar Jalandhar City . He joined school as tiny tot in 1976 in K.G Class with tender heart and sweet smile and continued his studies till 1991 upto grade XII and persued for further studies in MBBS from 1991-96 CMC Ludhiana and completed Internship there. In 1997 he moved to USA where he completed Residency in Psychiatry from University of Virginia. He got Board Certificate  by American Board of Psychiarty and Neurology and is in practice in Virginia from 2002-2012,Completed honours in 2007 as fellow of American Board of Psychiarty Proceeding further towards progress in 2012, he got fellowship in Medicine and from 2013 onward now is Medical Director at Prince William County (Next to Washington DC)
    Remembering childhood days, Jasdeep Miglani met Secretay Sir Mr.Jarnail Singh Pasricha ji and shared golden days memories with sir .He visited school and met old teachers who had taught him and visited different places in school building.
    He was happy to see school after so many years with great progressive, changes and prayed for the school’s prosperity and progress in the coming years ahead.

    There was a special morning Assembly held in which Mrs.Brinder Badwal Previous Principal who served the institute for 37 years was bid farewell by staff and students.
