    Dramatization of Fairy / Folk Tales (Classes I & II)

    Poetry is the most beautiful art of expressing one’s thoughts and ideas. It allows students to diverge from the confines of classroom settings & things beyond. Kids recited some wonderful poems and captured the hearts of the audience.

    English Calligraphy Competition Class I to IV

     

    With the invasion of technology, the beauty of handwritten letters has unfortunately been lost in the digital shuffle.

    But, we gave a chance to our students to revel in the joy of taking a pencil to paper.

    Calligraphy competition was created to honour the importance of handing in our daily each class were awarded prizes

    Children love to take part in a Quiz show. This turns out to be their favourite mind sport. It enhances their information and at the same time they have fun also. Intelliquiz was an inter section competition for the students of class III & IV.

    Punjabi Kavita Gayan Class IV

     

     If we fail to give place to our mother tongue, we may soon lose our rich cultural roots. Keeping this in mind we organised Punjabi Kavita Gayan for the students of Class IV.

    Hindi Short Skit Competition for Class-IV

     

     
     

    Hindi Short Skit Competition for Class-IV was held in MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar. The judges of the day were Mrs Anita Verma and Mrs Inderpal Kaur. Each Skit had a message to convey. The Skit Competition was based on the burning topics like Swachh Bharat, Rashtriya Dhan Ki Bachat and Doodh Ka Dhula. Its main motto was to create awareness regarding civic sense and national saving amongst the students. Principal Mrs Gunmeet Kaur, Vice Principal Mr K.S Randhawa & Incharge Primary Wing Mrs Sushma Prehar graced the occasion with their presence.     The prizes were given by Ms Deepti Kaushal Incharge Rainbow Wing. The participants amazed all the spectators. The Students’ performance entertained and mesmerized everyone present. The school is known for inculcating moral values in students and foster the culture of all round development.

     

     
     

    Cleanliness Campaign

     

     

     

    Cleanliness Campaign was started today by the students of Primary Wing in   MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar. Its main motto was to spread the message to the students and fellow beings to keep their surroundings and the school premises neat and clean. The young stars of MGN went around the school and different classes holding beautiful placards. Their aim was to spread the messages like Go Green Breathe clean, Litter makes the Planet Bitter and so on.  

     

    They were appreciated and boosted up by Principal  Mrs Gunmeet Kaur, Vice Principal Mr K.S Randhawa, Mrs Sushma Prehar Incharge Primary Wing, Ms Deepti Kaushal Inchage Rainbow Wing. The budding Montgomerians conveyed their message enthusiastically.

    Formal Badging and Oath Taking Ceremony

     

     

     

    M.G.N Public School,Adarsh Nagar conducted its formal Badging and Oath Taking Ceremony amidst great excitement and Zeal for Classes I to V.  A special assembly was conducted. Principal Mrs.Gunmeet Kaur, Vice Principal Mr. K.S Randhawa,I/C Primary Wing Mrs.Sushma Prehar,Senior Secondary Wing Co-ordinator Mrs.Sunita Nanda and Staff Secretary Mr.Pradeep Singh pinned the badges on the shoulders of the newly elected Charlies and Alphas. Class co-ordinators I to V pinned the badges of the language monitors. Principal Mrs.Gunmeet Kaur administered the oath to the newly elected Alphas & Charlies. She congratulated and stressed on the significance of setting priorities and aiming high. She motivated them to carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence. Vice Principal Mr.K.S Randhawa administered the oath to the language monitors. I/C Primary Wing Mrs Sushma Prehar also congratulated the newly elected representatives and advised them to work with passion and dedication. The previous Head Girl Rishita Bhatia addressed the newly formed team and inspired them to perform their duties to the best of their abilities .The ceremony concluded with National Anthem.

     

    The election of Alphas and Charlies for the session 2017-18

    The election of Alphas and Charlies for the session 2017-18 was carried out successfully in the Primary Wing M.G.N Public School, Adarsh Nagar. Students of Classes I to V elected their Class representatives in a democratic way. Principal Mrs. Gunmeet Kaur,Vice Principal K.S.Randhawa, Mrs.Sushma Prehar(Incharge Primary Wing),Mrs.Deepti Kaushal (Incharge Rainbow Wing) witnessed the event. The montgomerians exercised their right to vote with full fervor. They were asked to put the slip in the ballot box after ticking two candidates one boy and one girl of their choice from their section. After counting of votes the presiding authorities announces the names of the elected representatives. The procedure was very easy and interesting. The elected candidates pledged to promote discipline, cleanliness and class management. The main motive behind this event was to give the students practical knowledge of voting system.

    The new session in the Primary Wing Began with much fanfare. The budding artists of class I and II displayed their artistic talent in making admirable figures with clay.

    The students of class V displayed their talent in Pot Decoration and drew credit to their efforts.

    The Best seven were selected from each class and were awarded prizes.

     

     

    Workshop Happy Parenting

     

     

     

    M.G.N Public School Adarsh Nagar organized a pleasant interaction between Parents and Teachers of Class – I under the workshop Happy Parenting conducted by counselor Manmeet Sawhney.

    The objective of the workshop was to familiarize the parents with the working of Primary Wing and to bridge apprehensions regarding child Psychology.

    The Psychology of a 6 yr old child and various aspects of personality development were discussed. Parents were shown slides highlighting the need of their better connectivity with their children. ways were also suggested to improve the parent child connection.

    Principal Mrs.Gunmeet Kaur gave the message of applying touch therapy in day to day life.Mr.K.S.Randhawa Vice Principal also attended the workshop.

    Mrs .Sushma Prehar I/C Primary Wing thanked the audience for their gracious time.
