    GRAND WALK

Efficiency lies in doing right things in right manner, in the right ambience.

A stunning repository of exotic spiritual , emotional and indomitable will, S.Jarnail Singh Pasricha is a torch bearer of the spirit of Service and Education. Born to Bhai Gobind Singh Pasricha and Mrs. Inder Kaur Pasricha on 27th May 1936, S.Jarnail Singh Pasricha is an epitome of passion, purpose and perseverance.

His Father Bhai Gobind Singh Pasricha opened his first school at Montgomery in 1922, fourteen years before he was born. He grew up in an atmosphere that echoed social service and emancipation of women in the society. His father was his role model. Greatly inspired and fueled by his father’s values and vision, he decided to commit himself to the cause of education and revolutionize the approach and thinking of the society.

He was a member of the Executive Committee of Shri Guru Singh Sabha , Montgomery from 1961 to 1972. In the initial years, he was appointed the manager of the three Aided Schools in Jalandhar in 1971. He held both the offices efficiently and brought about dynamic changes in the framework of education and emerged as a Winner. In 1972, the Singh Sabha was transformed into Montgomery Guru Nanak Educational Trust of which he is a founder Trustee.

When the founding fathers of M.G.N Educational Trust opened their first Public School i.e. M.G.N Public School’s Adarsh Nagar in Jalandhar with an aim to make every child a gift of God to the man kind, a pride of the human race and one who embraces globalism, little did they know that their saplings would be irrigated by an amazing luminary  like S.Jarnail Singh Pasricha and under his aegis, they will become huge trees thrusting forth their branches. M.G.N Public Schools Urban State at Jalandhar & Kapurthala are the testimony to this.

In 1979 S. Jarnail Singh Pasricha took over the reins of MGN Educational Trust as the Honorary Secretary and never looked back. Through his progressive outlook, perception and practices, he instilled a work culture that made MGN touch unprecedented heights. The National & International awards and recognition speak volumes of Mr. Pasricha’s involvement with creativity , mission and commitment.

The embryo of perception grows into a fruit of admiration if nurtured with right  ideology and execution. He has enriched the educational structure through his right mentoring and created an environment of conviction, belief and confidence.

Under his mentorship, MGN has attained a position not only in academic but also in non academic areas. MGN’s National , State , Zonal  & District level positions in AIPMT, AIEEE ,Commerce, Humanities, Sports and co-curricular activities are unparalleled. MGN’s prodigies have made their presence felt, that too emphatically through their startling performance, be it Administrative services (IAS), Judiciary or Executive services. In the month of January, Commendation Ceremony was held to felicitate Medical Achievers. Where as many as 90 doctors based in Jalandhar only (What to talk of other cities, states & countries) participated. Such is the STATURE of MGN’s ACHIEVEMENTS. This is just an example. The list is long & endless.

Steadfast, uprighteous and self effacing, he is a missionary, who works zealously to uplift the standard of education as per demands of time. He believes that the children script the success stories of the society and the nation. As per him every child needs to be perceived holistically as a human being , not as a heart, head and hands. By successfully combining better pedagogies with improved infrastructure, he has always been striving to produce generations of students who are sensitive towards affairs  of their age and commit themselves to build more peaceful, united and just society.

Though he is 81,  but his thoughts and ideas are newer and far more progressive than any new age leader. He never accepts anything ‘less than perfect’ for facilitators and gainers. He maintains a futuristic and global approach and always encourages his co-luminaries and teachers to research practice, implement train and advocate issues and policies that impact the all inclusive growth of the future leaders.

Mr. Pasricha is like King Midas who can convert every constraint into golden opportunity. He is not bogged down by the challenges, rather he faces them from the front. With his sharp analytical skills and acumen , he makes the threatening tides ebb and give way to him to ride over.

He has always addressed the issues of MGN family rationally and impartially. MGN is not like family to him, rather it is his family. He is open & receptive to all productive ideas and suggestions and tries to put them into action for growth & enrichment of everyone. He is a great motivational force to his students, teachers & Principals. He becomes catalyst in inspiring others and feels that his goal is not to achieve personal greatness but to propel others to aspire for some prime goal too. No one can replicate the unique contributions of Mr.Pasricha. His milestone achievements speak a language that is lucid and vividly narrate the saga of his intellect, wisdom and farsightedness. So, Let’s raise a toast to his vision and vivacity.
