EDUCATION IS the art of getting one informed in a systematic way. Schools and teachers work like very important means and parents, friends and society also play their respective roles in this respect. However, the information that we get by travelling or field surveys is much more important than all the above because this is the only one form of education that makes one learn things without the presence of any medium in between.
When we travel, we learn things by seeing and experiencing only. If 'seeing is believing', of course, traveling ,excursions and field surveys offers us plenty of opportunities to 'see' and 'believe' so many things. The things we see during traveling actually influence us greatly and the information we receive from such experience last more than any other information.
The food we taste, the music we listen to, the friendship we establish, the exotic locations we become part of, the climatic differences we experience, the culture we understand, the faiths, celebrations and rituals we see are enlightening. This realization, the understanding we get out of comparing and contrasting these helps us to build a different approach to live the life. It gives a new kind of experience. This is rejuvenating. Such learning helps us to face life with more confidence.
These facts make me believe that seeing or experiencing something new is nothing short of learning something new. Every lap of our travel leaves us with one new idea or the other. It means we get educated every moment. This 'perpetual learning' has been the driving force for all men down the ages, though different people travel for different reasons.
So keeping in mind importance of travelling and field surveys we provide national as well as international exposure to our students.
